Photoshop 401: Expert

Prerequisites:
Students enrolling in Photoshop 401: Expert must have:

1. Completed Illuminate Workshops Photoshop 101, 201 and 301, or
2. Have a minimum two years working in the latest versions of Photoshop on a regular basis
3. working copy of Photoshop CS3, CS4 or CS5* installed on their own computer.
4. Camera Raw images to work with.

* Photoshop versions earlier than CS3 or Photoshop Elements will not be covered in this class.

This class builds on material taught in PS 301 and is for experienced Photoshop users. In this class, students will learn state-of-the art techniques for perfecting digital photographs using Photoshop CS3 and gain mastery over the complete Raw imaging workflow.

• Current digital photography workflow from capture to print.
• Professional compositing, retouching and color correction techniques.
• Resizing images with confidence.
• Using Channel calculations to build Masks.
• Advanced Layer blending.
• Using Smart Objects in the Raw workflow.
