Prerequisites:
Students enrolling in Photoshop 401: Expert
must have:
- Completed Illuminate Workshops Photoshop 101, 201
and 301, or
- Have a minimum two years working in the latest versions
of Photoshop on a regular basis
- working copy of Photoshop CS3 or CS4* installed
on their own computer.
- Camera Raw images to work with.
* Photoshop versions earlier than CS3 or Photoshop

This class builds on material taught in PS 301 and
is for experienced Photoshop users. In this class, students
will learn state-of-the art techniques for perfecting
digital photographs using Photoshop CS3 and gain mastery
over the complete Raw imaging workflow.
Topics covered include:
- Current digital photography workflow from capture
to print.
- Professional compositing, retouching and color correction
techniques.
- Resizing images with confidence.
- Using Channel calculations to build Masks.
- Advanced Layer blending.
- Working in Lab color mode.
- Using Smart Objects in the Raw workflow.
- Third-party plug-ins and add-ons for Photoshop.
