As a photographer you can perfom many functions within the medium. Living in beautiful Colorado, many of us shoot landscapes and flowers. We shoot weddings and abstacts. Some of us shoot fashion and sport. However, there's yet another type of photography which you may not have been exposed to and that's Event Photography.

As a geographic center for the country, Denver host many events annually. The need for event photographers continues as the number of events begins to grow again. This Event Photography workshop is designed to help you prepare for the varied challenges of shooting various events in difficult locations.

Let's admit it, when scouting venues for their program, event coordinators do not often take into consideration the ease of photographing a space as one of their critirea. It is therefore up to us as photographers to know the best way to shoot a space.

In this 2-day workshop, Jim Turley and Efrain Cruz will teach you and work with you at the many techniques for overcoming difficult event venues.

You will have an opportunity to shoot in difficult locations, learn to use your equipment and overcome the challenges common to event photography.

This workshop allows for lots of hands-on training. In addition to the hands-on training in class, you will be invited to follow, learn and shoot alongside your instructors at a real event for local non-profits. This fantastic opportunity makes this workshop unique in all whole country.

Whether you are photographing the launch of a new product or a political rally, it's important to get the shots you need when they happen. In this workshop you will learn to get the photos you need the first time.
